Courses: Courses will be well-marked on Race Day, we promise. The Run the Park trail run/walk is a challenging course within the woods of the park. Please be aware the course is completely on trails, so portions of the course are technical, rocky, and rooted. Walkers can remain on gravel road if they desire for the 5K.
Child Care: For those parents who would like to run the race and bring their kids (either for the trail trot or to cheer you on), games, activities, and supervision will be provided (at no cost) at the Finish Line, which is located at the Fireplace (a.k.a. "Shakespeare") pavilion. An announcement will be made at the starting line for all children to walk down to the finish line with a Run the Park Volunteer. We ask that you have your child use the port-a- john if needed before walking down. Please write down any allergies or concerns that our volunteer care giver should know about.
Post-Race Picnic & Jamboree: Bring your friends and family to cheer you on, then join us at the finish line (Fireplace a.k.a. "Shakespeare" pavilion) for a rockin' good time complete with free delicious cookout food and an outstanding musical performance by the awesome band.
Results will be available via Ultra Signup by Sunday, August 30th. Visit this website to view results and any photos from the event.
Race Proceeds: ALL proceeds from Run the Park this year will go towards planned improvements at Stackhouse Park. "A park can be a place of beauty forever."
There will be one aid station near the midpoint of the 5K and another aid station near the midpoint of the 10K. Refreshments at the finish with live music as part of the park’s Picnic and Jamboree.
