In 2018, 29 ultramarathons were won outright by a female runner. We want to help drive that number higher in 2019, so we created the Triumph 50K and 25K – all-women’s races designed to celebrate shared successes and big mountains.
Triumph is set on 100% single-track through the gorgeous Sawtooth and Salmon-Challis National Forests, just outside of Triumph, ID. It’s a world-class rendezvous point for women who love to run, be outside, push themselves and achieve their goals.
Runners will gather at the Mormon Hill trailhead and, from there, enjoy 100% single track through the Sawtooth and Salmon-Challis National Forests. Get ready for big climbs, big views, and unfailing support. You'll be above the tree line for most of the day - bring sunscreen! The 50K and 25K courses start at Mormon Hill and head west to the Little Wood River Valley. At the Little Wood aid station (mile 7.4), the races split — 25K to the south, 50K to the north.
50K runners will follow the Little Wood River towards its headwaters in the +12,000’ peaks of the Pioneer Mountains. You’ll top out at 9,718 feet (2,962 meters) at mile 24.4. Take a moment here to enjoy the 360 views. Total climb in the 50K: 8,354'.
25K runners will loop back to the finish line, but not before completing a 2,200-foot (670-meter) climb in a 3.7-mile span. Total climb in the 25K: 4,583'.
For additional information - course map, elevation profile, turn sheet, schedule, etc. - please visit the event webpage at www.everlongendurance.com/triumph.
The 50K is worth two UTMB points and the 25K is worth one UTMB point.
