Registration Info

Registration is for the entire 4 person team. The person who registers will be the team "captain". They will send out an invite to add the remaining members to the team. The members can be added at any time prior to the event. Team members can also be changed if needed at any point. However registration for a team cannot be cancelled or refunded.

This event is not a relay. This is a 4 person team event and everyone will be working together. It is setup as a relay to allow registration for all four people to be done at once. This event will last approximately 30 hours.

TPK Bad Decisions is a 4 person team event. This event is like TPK meets Amazing Race. Once the event starts you go non-stop until your team has completed all the challenges. This is one of the hardest TPK events we put on.

There are three types of challenges. Expect all challenges to be based on one of these themes.
1. Just Get It Done: These are simple, you just complete what is required.

2. Pick One And Hope It Sucks Less:
You’ll receive two different versions for these challenges. Hopefully you pick the one that “sucks less”. Once completed pay attention for the “U-Turns”. This is where you can have any team behind yours be required to do both versions.

3. Make It Suck Less But First:
Before you start the challenge you will have the option to open envelope with a mystery task. If you complete the task, the challenge becomes a little less sucky. You can also “make it suck less” if you have a “fast pass” in your possession.

Expect a team pre-race challenge and the possibility of needing to learn a new skill before the event.

Gear List

The full gear list will be released one month prior to the event. Below are some of the basic required items but expect some unique items to be added later.

Hydration Bladder 2L or 3L recommended
Headlamp (extra batteries)
Basic First Aid Kit
Enough food to survive for 30+ hours
Basic Watch(NO GPS ALLOWED, NO STEP COUNTER)
Compass
2 glow sticks
Safety Whistle
Multi-tool or knife
Pen and Fine Point Sharpie
Paper

Prohibited Items:
Any device with GPS or equivalent Functionality
Cell Phones, Radios, or equivalent technology GoPro’s are OKAY
Calculators

Refund Policy

There are no refunds or transfers of race registration. All sales are final. If a team member can no longer make the event, you can replace them with someone else.

ISO Team/Teammate option

What is the ISO Team/Teammate option? This is for individuals “in search of” other people looking to make a team or a team to join. So if you find yourself struggling to convince your friends to join you in making some Bad Decisions, sign up under this option and keep tabs of the others that sign up here too. Hopefully this will help you find others to join forces with! How do you find the others? By looking under the “entrants” option for the ISO category on Ultrasignup. Alternatively if you already registered your team but you are needing to fill a spot(s), you can use this to find someone to complete your team
*ISO category is not an official event registration. This is just to put your name out. You still need to officially register once you create a team or join an existing team.
