SQUATCHINOLOGY (SEASON 1)

It’s Runner Vs. Runner…🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️ Or 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Or 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️

Get ready for the Inaugural Squatchinology Virtual Running Tournament (Season One) that kickoffs on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at 7:00 AM your time!

The Squatchinology Virtual Running Tournament is a 40 Day Virtual Running Event that will feature 64 Runners of all Running Experience Distances (5K, 10K, 13.1, 26.2, 50K, 50M, 100K, 100, 200) that will battle their way mile by mile until they reach the Final Round of the Tournament and are crowned Top Dog of Season One! 🏆👣🐶 🙌

This is no ordinary Virtual Running Event because the Squatchinology Virtual Running Tournament features weekly Head to Head runner competition on a Mileage Point Based System that is designed to level the playing field between Beginner Runners and Elite Ultra Runners. Beginner Runners will be generously Seeded in the Tournament Brackets and will be given more Points for their Running Efforts than Elite Ultra Runners which will no doubt keep Elite Ultra Runners scrambling to avoid getting knocked out of the game by a Tournament Underdog!! Points will be awarded by Mileage Ran in a 4 Day Week Window and Runners that accumulate the most Points each week will continue to move further into the Tournament. Be aware that there is also a Charity Component to this event and Runners will have the Opportunity to purchase additional weekly Mileage Points to increase their odds of Winning. All funds generated by purchased Mileage Points will go directly to the Landsharks Running Club (Kindergarten - 6th Grade) of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Be ready to bring your A-Game because it will be "Dog Eat Dog" in this Virtual Running Tournament as Runners try to Outrun, OutPace, OutSmart, OutDistance, and OutSquatch their Competition!

TOURNAMENT SEEDING

Tournament Seeding will be based on a Runner's Personal Best Distance Finish during any running event in the last 3 Years or their Personal Best Distance during a Self-Supported Run. During the UltraSignup Registration Process runners will be asked for their Personal Best Distance and based on their responses they will be assigned either a #1, #2, #3, #4, or #5 Tournament Seed…

THE LAST SQUATCH STANDING / SECOND CHANCE TOURNAMENT

All Runners that sign up for the Squatchinology Running Tournament are AUTOMATICALLY registered for the The Last Squatch Standing / Second Chance Tournament. A Runner now has a second way to showcase their Running Skills because this Second Chance Tournament is based on the Cumulative Miles that a Runner runs throughout the Squatchinology Running Tournament. Thus, A Runner’s overall Standing/Ranking in The Last Squatch Standing pool of Runners will be determined by their Cumulative Total of Tournament Miles Ran during the Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, Round 4, Round 5, and Final Round tournament dates of the Squatchinology Running Tournament. So even if a Runner is eliminated in Round 1 of the Squatchinology Tournament, they should keep on running in order to compete against all other runners based on Overall Cumulative Miles Ran from the Start of the Squatchinology Running Tournament (July 8, 2020) to the End of the Squatchinology Running Tournament (August 16, 2020). Runners also have the opportunity to score The Last Squatch Standing / Second Chance Tournament Swag and Awards!
