Great Eastern Endurance Run

Charlottesville, VA 100K, 50K

This Event Took Place Sat. Sep 17, 2005

Overview

The Great Eastern Endurance Run was born out of the love and passion
of the race directors, Gill and Francesca Conte, for the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Not many people have had the luck to experience all that these mountains can
offer, from the velvety feel of the summer slopes, to the kaleidoscopic array of
autumn colors, to the dazzling beauty of the winter snow. Not many places in the
world can offer the quaintness and history of nearby Charlottesville, just 20
minutes from the start/finish, coupled with the freedom of miles and miles of
mountain trails.

Course

The 100K and 50K follow much of the same terrain. The Half Marathon
covers the beginning of the 100K course. The races begin at the Sherando Lake
Recreation Area Beach House.

Event's current local time: 2:31 PM ET
