The race course

TThis course took 3 years to be approved by the BLM. You will be running on a trail that has been in existence for 40 years and never had a race on it. It is in great condition. During the run you will pass through herds of Pronghorn Antelope, Dear and Elk. Running the along the western portion of the untamed Yampa River to the back door of the Dinosaur National Monument. You will be following in the footsteps of the dinosaurs. The high desert views are stunning. Go on an Epic Adventure with us.

The race will begin at the Juniper Hot Springs and run over Juniper Mountain into the Bitter Bush Wildlife area and then cross US40 and follow the Yampa River up and over Cross Mountain. The race will turn around on the west side of Cross Mountain and the follow the return route.

Aid Stations

There are 5 aid stations and two just water stations. Medical support will be st Start, Maybell, Turnaround and Finish line.

Pacers

Up to 5 pacers will the have the opportunity to run with you. Pacers may begin at the turnaround aid station.
