    Who else was led off course for an extra 3 miles at mile 19? Whoever took down the ribbons should be strung up. Might be a good spot to put a volunteer next year - after 19 miles of bike trail one cannot see the single track without an arrow on the pavement showing the way if the flagging is removed.

    Question for previous AR50 participants......is it a good idea to change shoes once we get off the bike trail or just run with one pair of shoes the entire way. Thanks in advance for your input.

      I don't think it's necessary to change shoes. The trails aren't very technical, especially if the ground stays fairly dry.
