    Is anyone interested in putting together a 50 mile training run or two before the big day?

      Rocky, I'm planning on running 54 miles on the trail on March 12 - as a celebration of my 54th birthday. Will start in Ottawa, run 27 miles and head back to Ottawa.

      ...just saw that you are signed up for the hundred. 57 miles is a lot of miles to be running so close to the race, do you think?

      54, not 57 miles. If I was out of shape, 54 would be a mistake. 11 days before the 100 miler, that'll be plenty of time to recover.

      haha. Sorry. Sounds good. I'm still training, but I don't know if I will enter. It is hard to justify spending the money right now. I'm planning on a 40 miler on the trail this week or next. Then a 50 soon after. Do you have some help for your birthday run?
