I ran only the shortest distance last year, and I injured a foot when I was stepping on rocks across a little stream long before No Hands Brudge. The heel of a foot became stuck under a rock, and couldn't release before it was sprained so badly that I couldn't walk without a cane the next day. I advise walking through the water rather than walking on rocks which can be slippery and unstable. Wear shoes which have good traction in slippery mud. I'll be using trekking poles.
