Fundraising Requirement

Each Participant agrees to raise $250 in addition to the entry fee. We will announce the fundraising website soon.

Background

This is a fundraising event for the Cross Country & Track teams of West Henderson High School to create locker rooms for the kids (currently the kids have to change in the restrooms and have nowhere to store their personal items during practice). The monies from this event will also create scholarships for kids to travel to larger meets (like Nationals) that cannot afford to do so.

Location & Format

Race day will take place at West Henderson HS Track. Runners will have 24 Hours to cover as much distance as possible. Only full laps will count. We will alternate direction of travel every 4 hours.

Crew & Tents

Participants are allowed 2 crew members at the event. Weighted 10 x 10 (no stakes) are permitted on the infield of the track.

Other Event Taking Place

West Henderson HS athletes will be running throughout the event. We'll have 2 hour blocks for them to participate in small numbers so as to not affect those running in the 24 hour event.

Swag & Finisher Awards

Each participant will receive a personalized sweatshirt after the event with their name & distance covered on the sleeve.

Those covering 50k will receive a pottery mug w/ event logo. Those covering 50-miles to 100k will recieve the mug & a custom belt. Those covering 100-miles or more will receive the mug, belt, & a custom belt buckle.
Each participant will receive a door prize given away each hour during the event.

Food & Drinks

Drinks (hot & cold), Hot food, & snacks will be provided. More details on menu specific items will be announced closer to race date.

The location includes:
-PA for music & announcements
-Restrooms
-Parking
-Concession Stand for Food & Drink
-Infield for each runners tent
-Lighting for night running
