Loop course with rolling hills entirely within Burr Oak State Park, including hiking and bridle trails as well as portions of the Buckeye Trail
Challenging and Aggressive Trail marathon with minimal, but some, pavement - mostly access roads from trail to trail. Course will be well-marked with several creek crossings and will have well-stocked aid stations.
Loop course with rolling hills entirely within Burr Oak State Park, including hiking and bridle trails as well as portions of the Buckeye Trail. Approximately 90% trail and 10% asphalt with 2,154' of elevation gain and 2,152' of elevation loss.
The Bobcat Trail Marathon is the only permanently marked trail marathon course in the
Midwest. The course is available to run whenever you may like to help prepare for the race. Consider starting at the Ranger Station which will allow the option for a short loop to the left or the main loop to the right.
Approximately every 3.2 miles stocked with water, fruit, PB&J, pretzels, potato chips, cookies, candy, soda and Hammer Nutritional products. In an effort to minimize paper waste, all participants are strongly encouraged to carry a water bottle.
