The course includes trails traversing sections of the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT), Noble Canyon, the Cuyamaca and the Anza Borrego State Parks, and Mt Laguna Recreational Areas. The 2016 event will again have a Solo Division to recognize all runners who opt to run the entire race without the support of a crew or pacers with spectators only allowed to meet Solo runners at the start and finish line. All finishing Solo runners will receive special awards to include a unique belt buckle. Solo runners will have to rely on their drop bags and the aid stations for all support. Solo runners are allowed to run with other registered runners but must rely on themselves (drop bags) and aid station volunteers throughout the entire race.
