Boggs Mountain Demonstration Forest sits on the top of Boggs Ridge. The forest is situated on a lava cap that covers about 3/4 of mountain.
At a high elevation of 3,500 feet you will spend most of your time winding through a pine forest. High to low points are 2,800 to 3,500 feet. Don't let the low to high elevation fool you! This course has you constantly climbing or descending, with over 4,000 feet of elevation change.
