The start of the race is at an elevation of 1835'.  Mile 1.5 is 2134'. Mile 5 drops to1860' and then climbs to 2405' by the time you get to the base of the firetower at mile 9.5.  This is over a four mile span.  Mile 10.5 drops rapidly to 1894', with the remainder of the run finishing at 1855'.  Come join us on this Easter weekend race and enjoy a great race venue.  You'll be glad you came.

RACE DAY REGISTRATION AVAILABLE! Fleet Feet Sports Kingsport is proud to present the "XTERRA Power to the Tower" trail half marathon on April 7th, 2012 at Bays Mountain Park.  This is an official XTERRA TRAIL RUN national Trail race and part of the Tennessee XTERRA series as well as the Trailrunner Magazine Trophy Series.  Fun, challenging, and exciting are all words that can describe an XTERRA race, and the XTERRA Power to the Tower will certainly live up to that.  Run Faster, we hear banjos....and that's exactly what you will hear as Bluegrass Music fills the mountains!  Also be treated to some beer and BBQ after the half marathon.
