Description
In true H.U.R.T. fashion, this is 100 kilometers of tough trails and jeep roads with more elevation gain and loss than most 100 milers. This race takes place on Oahu's famous North Shore and is considered a "graduate level" 100k. It will probably be very hot, and we've had problems with runners overheating. Be prepared!
There is very minimal marking, so getting lost is probable if you don't already know the course. We recommend 1) you are a local who already knows the trail, or 2) run with a local who knows the trail, or 3) help with the aid stations and cheer on those who know the trail. Carrying a minimum of 72 Oz. of water/sports drink is mandatory.
Registration is $1 per mile. If you sign up for the 100km run and drop at anytime prior to reaching 100km you will receive a DNF (no 50km consolation finishes). Awards for top 3 male/female 100km finishers and first male/female 50km finishers.

This booklet is a living document. It is unfinished. If it doesn't answer all of your questions, send us an e-mail and we'll get it in there. If you can't access the link below, send Rob and e-mail and he'll send you a Word document.
