Old School 50 Mile Ultra and 25K Mini with Bargain Entry Fees!

This year there will be a 50 mile ultra and a 25 km (~16 mile) trail race. 2017 will mark the 13th year of the Capitol Peak races in Capitol Forest.

Race Description:

Every runner will need to print, sign, and bring a DNR waiver with them to check-in on race-day.

The race is held in the State Forest so every vehicle will need a Discovery Pass: discoverpass.wa.gov. To avoid getting a ticket your DISCOVER PASS must be visible on your windshield.

Capitol Forest is a "working forest", so course revisions are possible to accommodate the "work". For updates please check here and at Capitol Peak 50mile/25K website!. COURSE DESCRIPTION AS OF December, 2015: Both the 50-mile and 25K start from Falls Creek Trailhead. The race will feature rugged, single track trails, and, depending on toss-of-the-coin for weather in April, spectacular views. With 2200 feet of elevation gain in the 25 k, and 6800 feet of elevation gain in the 50-mile, you will work to earn your finish. The 50-mile will include two 25 mile loops and have 8 aid stations, and the 25 k will have 2 aid stations.

Other Details:

Can be found at our webpage Capitol Peak 50mile/25K! for course descriptions, maps, videos, elevation profiles, information about the NEW start/finish, and other info!

PLEASE NOTE: There is camping at the Falls Creek Campground, near the start. There is no registration for camping, but you will need a Discover Pass to camp.
