Badger Mountain Challenge

Richland, WA 15K, 50K, 100 Miler

This Event Took Place Sat. Mar 30, 2013

Introduction

Welcome to the 2025 Badger Mountain Challenge, one of eastern Washington's only ultramarathons. Badger Mountain in Richland, Washington is the most popular hiking and trail running area for the Tri-Cities, and offers expansive views of the beautiful Columbia Basin. The Badger Mountain Preserve was established in 2005 to ensure that this community will always have open spaces for outdoor recreation.
The 14th annual Badger Mountain Challenge will be held on March 21-22 (Fri-Sat.), 2025. We have SEVEN different events; 15k, 15k ruck, 55k, 50 miles, 50-mile ruck, our NEW 100K, and 100 miles. The 100M, 100K and 50-mile races all start on Friday the 21st, and the 55k and 15k races start on Saturday the 22nd. We now also offer the opportunity to sign up for our 50M/55K double! With one click you can sign up for both the 50-mile (Friday) and 55K (Saturday) events. This means that you are now in a separate race category, and if you finish both events you’ll get an awesome unique prize!
This a great opportunity to be involved in a race that has a small town feel with all the support of a big race. This will be a fun day for all, even those who aren't competitive and would just like to run or hike the course while enjoying the local ridges, awesome views and open spaces. All entrants can enjoy some post-race food after you finish.
Please be sure to provide an accurate email address while registering, as important email updates will be sent to the entrants as the race draws near. Remember to check your spam folder too, as batch emails often land there.
We will also need volunteers in order for this race to be a success, so please volunteer if you are interested in helping! All volunteers will receive a free shirt with the race logo on it and a free entrance to a BMC 15km race in the future, or a discounted fee for the other longer distances.
This is also a great opportunity to show your support for the health and fitness of our local community. To get more information on how you can get more involved and be a sponsor contact the race director!
Our 2025 race will also have a 15K ruck and a 50-mile ruck division too. Signing up in the ruck category means you will need to carry a backpack or rucksack that weighs between 20 and 30 lbs (not counting water or food used in race). All ruck division finishers will get a custom Badger rucking patch!
