This Event Took Place Sat. Jun 22, 2013

The Billy Goat Hill Climb is a 1/2 Marathon. The course is out and back on the Indian Truck Trail in the Cleveland National Forest. IT AIN"T BUT ONE HILL! The truck trail is wide, well graded, and has good footing. The scenery is great IF you can look up on the assent and dare to look up during the descent.  This is a great introduction to racing on Saddleback. We are limited to 200 runners.

The post race lunch is included in the entry fee. Yes, we serve veggie burgers too.

Registration 7:00am  Start 8:00am  See web site for details, like directions to the venue.

Original Old Goat's Birthday

We celebrate The Original Old Goat's Birthday – Steve Harvey, Race Director. Please, no presents other than your presence. After the post race party, we will head over to Tom's Farm to continue the revelry and listen to some music by the Lagoon.

Directions to Start

Directions to Billy Goat Hill Climb

The trail head is located approx a 1.0 miles from the intersection of Indian Truck Trail and US15 (seven miles North of Lake Elsinore).

Take the I15 to Indian Truck Trail in Corona, CA.
Drive west on Indian Truck Trail to De Palma Road
Turn Left on De Palma (towards Von’s)
Turn Right on Santiago Canyon Road (1st light)
Drive to Forest Road (Indian Truck Trail) on left
Park on right hand side of Santiago Canyon Road
The Start/Finish is about 100 yards up Indian Truck Trail

For those unfamiliar with the area, Indian Truck is one off-ramp south of Temescal Canyon and Tom’s Farm - an excellent place to eat, relax, or just stroll around the grounds… running attire is acceptable! Glen Ivy Spa is another great attraction where one can be pampered (for a price) like royalty. The warm sulfur and mud baths are great on aching bones. Not to confused with Glenn Eden (naturist resort) where you can also relax as long as you take off the running attire and anything else you might be wearing… bring Sun Block.
