NEW USATF CERTIFIED COURSE
We are happy to announce that Run 4 Water is working hard at making this a top notch race that will attract ultra runners from all over the globe. With a course that will allow you to test your limits with as little effort as possible in middle TN, we now have a USATF certified 1 mile paved loop so you can get as many miles as possible, (Which is what we truly want to see you all do again this year!!!)
The goal of this event is to unit the running community together around the world. We would like runners to dedicate and "LOG" their miles on Sept 27th - 28th to this event, Run Around the World. The Earth is 24,901 miles in circumference at the equator. We hope to log a total of 24,901 miles on this day. We want this to be a fun, family friendly event that you'll remember. In order to do this there will be many things going on throughout the day, and night, to help keep you motivated and inspired to rack up as many miles as you can. This will mark the end of a Kids Marathon where children from all over the county will come to run their final mile. There will be a kids fun zone where bounce houses and games will be available, a corn hole Tournament, and music throughout your entire run.
Local time: 12:21 AM
*The course is different from last year. This year it will be certified by the USATF, so if you are interested in breaking or setting new state, country or world records this is the place to do it. We have a super flat 1 mile loop that is 100% pavement.
Saturday Sept 27th at 6am until Sunday Sept 28th at 6am
*We will be holding 6+ different races, on the same course.
There will be a 4 miler, 14 miler, 27 miler, 6hr, 12hr and 24hr solo race.
The races will be held at the Winfree Bryant Middle School located at 1213 Leeville Pike, Lebanon, TN 37087.
*The last mile of our kids marathon will be run on this loop, so there will be younger kids out there running with you for several hours and they'll be feeding off you guys, as you will feed off them. Last year we got nothing but positive feedback about having the kids run with you all.
*Aid station each mile filled with some yummy snacks and food at certain times throughout the day and night. We want to make sure you are fed and aren't left starving. Each runner will be required to have at least one water bottle or hydration pack. We will have water and different Gatorade flavors throughout the race.
*Reasons for disqualification:
1.yelling at children, or violence of any kind (This will get you kicked out faster than anything)
2.running anything other than the official course
3.cutting the course short (after all the course is certified and set up to break and set official records)
The course will have very little tree cover, and there is typically an awesome breeze blowing all day. You may expect to see some occasional wildlife.
You will be permitted to set up a tent in a specific area on Friday night Sept 26th and leave it up until the end of the race on Sunday morning Sept 28th.
Custom finisher awards will be given to all those left standing or crawling at the end. Buckles for 24hr finishers that reach 100 miles in One day, with Medals for the other 24, 12 and 6hr finishers.
Showers will be available after the race, thanks to the principle of the Middle School.
