This Event Took Place Sat. Sep 20, 2014


Chase the Sun Ultra is a 12 hour event comprising 12 hour and 6 hour solo races along with relay teams of 2-4 runners for both 6 and 12 hours.
The race will take place exclusively in the beautiful Whitemarsh Island Preserve, Savannah, Ga. 31410.   The race begins and ends in the big clearing in the middle of the preserve and will follow the 1.87 mile loop clock-wise.
The course is almost entirely unpaved with about a half mile on paved path.  At no time will you be running on any roads with cars.
Parking will be available just North of the preserve at the Memorial Hospital outreach on Bryan Woods and Highway 80.
The proceeds of this race will go to Liam's Land Foundation, research for a cure of Lymphatic Malformation
Liam's Land Mission:
The mission of Liam's Land is to advance the research and identify possible causes of lymphatic malformations by supporting a patient registry and funding further genetic testing and clinical trials.

Liam's Challenge will be held in the large clearing of the Whitemarsh Preserve where the start/finish & aid station is located.  Liam's challenge will be an obstacle course for children under 10 years of age.

Awards and Swag
All registered runners will get a race shirt and ice bandana.
  • All finishers of the solo 6 hour, solo 12 hour, and relay teams of the 6 hour and 12 hour races will get finishers medals.
  • Awards will be given to the top male and female of the 6 hour and 12 hour races.
  • Awards will be given to the top relay team of the 6 hour and 12 hour races.
Solo runners of the 6 hour and 12 hour races must complete at least 75% of the timed event they registered for to receive a finisher's medal.
Relay runners must finish the entire timed events.
Relay runners may arrange their team's running schedule as they see fit but only one runner per team may run at any given time.
