FONDREN URBAN ULTRA

It’s Back! Are you up for the challenge? What is your limit? Who will be crowned “King” and “Queen” of the hill?
The FONDREN URBAN ULTRA will lead runners on a 3 mile course through the beautiful neighborhood of Fondren. When the race begins at 6:30 AM, ULTRA runners will have 12 hours to run as far as they can. (3 mile loop)
In addition there will also be a 4-person relay event. You are free to divide the 12 hours anyway you like amongst your 4-person team.
There will be awards for top team and individuals (male and female) for furthest distance traveled. Awards will also be given to those individual ULTRA runners who are able to run an ultra distance (over 26.2 miles).
12 hour individual ultra: $60 before September 1 and $75 after September 1
12 hour relay ultra: $200 before September 1 and $250 after September 1
Registration will close October 16 at midnight.
Individual racers limited to 200. Teams limited to 25. Get in while you can!
Entry fee includes: race entry, custom designed FONDREN URBAN ULTRA t-shirt, ultra goodies, an aid station on the course and at the start/finish.
All proceeds will go to MUTS (Mississippi Ultra and Trail Society). A Non-Profit Association.
There will be a staging area at the start/finish at Woodland Hills Baptist Church/ Fondren Church. So… Feel free to bring your pop up tent, chair, cooler, nutrition, stretcher, or whatever you may need to push yourself past your limit and enjoy the day!

- Events start at 6:30 AM sharp!
- The staging area will be in the parking lot of the church on Old Canton Road. This is the start/finish. Each runner must check in and record his or her progress after each loop! Failure to do so could result in you or you and your team being disqualified.
- This is a cup free event! Please bring your own water bottles.
TEAM RELAY DETAILS: Each team will be provided with one slap bracelet. You can have as many teammates on the course as you would like, but only the miles of the one wearing the bracelet will count. Each team must always have at least one runner on the course. If at any point there is not a runner on the course, the team is considered finished.
INDIVIDUAL ULTRA DETAILS: Individuals may take breaks during the day as long as you stay in the staging area. If at any point a runner leaves the course, their race will be finished.
