Tranquility Lake 50K
The Tranquility Lake 50K Trail Race is the final race in the Mountain High Outfitters Southeastern Trail Series. The race will take place at Oak Mountain State Park, starting and ending at the Redbud Pavilion located on Tranquility Road, adjacent to the BMX Track. The race will start at 7:00 a.m. and we are required to enforce a nine hour cutoff to insure we are off the trails before dark. (Sunrise on the 21nd is 6:24 a.m. and sunset is 4:42 p.m.) The 50K course will be two laps of a course circling the park. There will be an aid station located at the Peavine Falls Parking Lot and at the start/finish. There will also be a water only aid station at the North Trail Head about 3 miles from the finish. Aid station distances range from 5.9 to 6.8 miles apart. We will have a mandatory 4.5 hour cutoff at the start/finish aid station at mile 15.6. We will also have a second mandatory cutoff at the Peavine Falls Aid Station. We are required to enforce cutoff this year.
Friday Nov. 20th - Late Registration and Packet Pickup, 4:30 PM until 6:00 PM - Mountain High Outfitters store on Hwy 280, adjacent to Whole Foods. (2800 Cahaba Village Plaza Suite 250, Birmingham, AL 3524)

Saturday Nov. 21st - Packet Pickup at Redbud Pavilion at Oak Mountain State Park starting at 6:00 AM. There will be NO race day registration.
7:00 AM - Race Start.
12:00 Noon - Mandatory Cutoff at Redbud Pavilion, Mile 15.6. We must enforce this cutoff per OMSP Director. There will also be a cutoff at the Peavine Falls Parking lot at 2:30 PM.
