Course Description

Come kick off your Halloween festivities with a great race! If you're running, you get to eat more candy later, right?!
Running with Sasquatch 5k will be a down and back course. Trail will be roughly 4-5ft wide and will accommodate two-way traffic. Expect areas in which you will have to cross small creeks, standing water, fallen trees, and rugged terrain. There will be several overlook areas, which we encourage you to stop and enjoy the view. Turn around point will be at "Pride Rock". Runners are expected to run on their right side to and from the turn around point. The Running with Sasquatch 5k will begin and finish on the campus of Ivy Academy.
Running with Sasquatch 5k is open to running, hiking, walking, dancing, etc. Come out and have some fun! Depending on number of runners compared to walkers/hikers, there may be 2 start waves. PLEASE participate at your comfort level, as this is a fun event to raise awareness and funds for Ivy Academy.
Costumes are encouraged, but not mandatory. However, please make sure your costumes are "trail appropriate" and won't hinder your enjoyment and safety during the race.
If you feel like you have what it takes to "Whoop Sas" then please feel free to try. Anyone who "Whoops Sas" will earn an "I Whooped Sas 2015" Shirt.
If you would like to help prep the course before the event or volunteer with the event, then please contact Molly Wilkins, Race Director at This trail is only open to those who participating in the event.
