Confidently Beautiful With Hills
The race starts and finishes in the Crystal Springs - Pettigrew Picnic Area behind the Griffith Park Ranger Station/baseball fields. The 5K loop is a flat loop around the golf course on the main trail. The 10K is two loops.
The half and full marathons will be hilly courses through the trails of Griffith Park.
RACE IS SOLD OUT! Don't forget time change!!
Run deo Run is SOLD OUT - there is NO raceday registration.
Don't forget, clocks go FORWARD Saturday night. All races will start at 7:30 AM. Sunrise is 7:07 race morning. The park should be pretty empty at that time so parking should be very easy right next to the start/finish area. Bib pick-up will be race morning.
Forecast is warm and sunny so make sure you wear sunscreen - a hat is also a good idea. There will be many aid stations along the course but you should still carry a water bottle/pack, especially if you are doing the half or full.
The Big 5-0, Part 3...
Come help us raise funds for SRLA and LAFR and celebrate Deo's 50th birthday (again...) with a beautiful trail run in Griffith Park. There's something for everyone this year: a flat 5K or 10K, and a flat, then hilly half or full marathon! Limited to 100 runners total across all distances. Registration includes shirt and finisher's medal: $30 for the 5K/10K, $50 for the half/full. Los Angeles Frontrunners are the coordinators. The beneficiaries are SRLA (Students Run Los Angeles) and Los Angeles Frontrunners. Deo has been a coach for SRLA for 19 years!
Online registration will close Friday night, March 10, at 11:59 PM. There will be NO raceday registration!
If you do not plan to run, but would like to make a donation, please click the link below. Your donation will be included in the total donation LA Frontrunners will make to Students Run LA after the race and is tax deductible.

Students Run LA
Students Run LA is perhaps the most perfect 501c3 charitable organization to support as a runner in Los Angeles. Since 1993, SRLA has successfully carried out the same teacher-led training program, to challenge at-risk secondary students to experience the benefits of goal-setting, character development, adult mentoring and improved health by providing them with a truly life-changing experience: the training for and completion of the Los Angeles Marathon. What started with one teacher and his handful of students has grown to more than 500 leaders and 3,200 students from 175 schools and community programs throughout the greater Los Angeles area.
Los Angeles Frontrunners, also a 501c3, is the LA chapter of International Frontrunners, the LGBT running club organization. In addition to running, running, more running (and lots of eating), LAFR raises funds and collects good to donate to local charities. In the last year, those charities include; SRLA, PAWS/LA, Life Worth Saving, InsideOut Community Arts, Friends of Project 10, the Senior Services Center at the LA LGBT Center, The Breakfast Club at St. Thomas the Apostle, and the Don Thompson Scholarship at the USC Film School.
