WHAT IS TEXAS TREASURE QUEST?
Texas treasure quest is a new racing competition that combines trail running, scavenger hunting, adventure racing, points strategy and some old school orienteering.
Here is how it works:
Determine how many hours you want to play 3-6-12-24 hours and if you want to run alone (solo), 2 people (duo) or with a team of 4 (Quatro).
The rules are the same for all durations and team sizes.
The goal is to accumulate the most points within the time period that you are enrolled in. You will receive a small passport booklet before the race begins where you will "collect" your points.
We will provide you with a map when you start the race of the property and layout. On this map are plot points on the map that have various point values
Once you get to the places on the map you will find a rubber stamp that will be attached to the point. Your job is to stamp your page 1 with that stamp. You can collect up to 5 stamps and then you must come back to the start finish area. We will then count your points, cross your page off and send you back out.
There will also be 10 bonus items that are not marked on the course map that will be on the trails. These items need to be brought back to back to receive the value that is on the items.
-Each location will be on the trails or on roads or pathways. These locations will have reflective signs, flagging and indicators.
-All trails are marked per the trail map and correlating colors.
As you can tell you are choosing your own routes, pathways, points to gather along the way. The fate of your points, your day is all up to.
