Sunday, November 8th. Start time is 9 a.m. for all distances.

Location

Start begins at 55 Music Concourse Drive between the DeYoung Museum and the California Academy of Science in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, CA.

Course

There are three distances – 5K & 10K Run and a 2-Mile Walk. The 5K course is shown on the link above. The 2-Mile Walk is an out-and-back along the same course. The 10K course will loop around twice.

Awards

Awards for the top three finishers (male and female) in each division (2 mile walk, 5k run, 10k run) Specific prizes to be announced.

Additional Information

We are a concerned group of medical, allied health, and laypersons who have formed a non-profit group, Miles for Migraine, where our mission is to: 1. Inform the public about the serious underfunding for research in the prevention, causes, treatment, and cure of headache disorders. Only 5% of federal tax dollars for national medical research are currently allocated through the National Institute of Health. 2. Provide website links about various headache organizations for further information. 3. Create a fun outdoor event that especially welcomes those with headache disorders who have never tried a walk/run, in addition to their family, friends, and the public.
