About

Emily’s Walk for Hope is in memory of Emily Ann Alessi, born and raised in South Lake Tahoe. This walk is one of the ways in which we honor her life, promote awareness and honor all those lost to suicide.

Please Join us Saturday, September 8th as we walk together toward prevention and awareness.

9:00am Early Registration
10:00am Opening Ceremony
12:00pm Lunch immediately following the walk


With a $5.00 donation, participants are invited to dedicate a Memory Sign in the name of a loved one to be displayed throughout the walk. Participants may take home their Memory Signs at the end of the event. We encourage participants to bring photos that will also be displayed throughout the walk.

**Proceeds will go towards further Suicide Prevention and stigma reduction**

Registration

Registration online will be $25.00 (+ service fee) - the registration also includes a t-shirt and lunch ticket.

Children 12 and under walk for free T-shirts and lunch are not included, tshirts can be purchased for $10.00 lunch for $5.

Early Pickup

We encourage all walkers that have pre-registered to pick up their t-shirt early to avoid a long line at the registration booths the morning of the walk.

Course Description

The walk, from start to finish, is 1.4 miles.

All walkers will start and finish at Lakeview commons. The route will start north on HWY 50. Walkers will turn right on Rufus Alan Blvd and continue south towards Lyons Ave. Walkers will turn right on Lyons Ave and head West towards HWY 50. Walkers will turn right on HWY 50 and continue North back to Lakeview Commons.
