Description Half Marathon & 10K

The Wildest Run in the West 10K and 13.1 mile race provides runners with the opportunity to experience the high reaches of the Sierra Nevada Mountains on the trails of Lake Tahoe’s Royal Gorge Cross Country Ski Area. Participants will start and finish at Summit Station. These fun courses have some of the best scenery around Lake Tahoe. We’ll provide a well-marked course and aid stations stocked with fruit, salty-snacks, gels, cold water and electrolyte drinks.

Description 100K

The Wildest Run in the West is a new 100K ultra event that follows a large portion of the legendary Western State Endurance Run. The course is remote and travels through difficult and rugged wilderness areas. While the trails and intersections are very well-marked, expect to run for many miles without assurance ribbons. Nearly sixty (60) miles of the course runs through remote areas. Our eleven aid stations, between the start and finish lines, will be well-stocked with fruit, salty-snacks, other traditional ultra foods and electrolyte drinks. Everyone will need to be prepared, both mentally and physically, to endure and navigate this demanding course since access to the course is limited to hikers, horses and helicopters.
