DION Nor'easter Snowshoe Series

Don't let a little snow stop you from hitting the trails this winter! As easy as walking, snowshoeing is the perfect way to get out there! First time or National Champ, the Nor'easter Series has something for everyone!
Pre-register for the Nor'easter Snowshoe Series and score a Nor'east Trail Runs BOCO hat (a $25 value!)
Series points will be awarded for ALL races -- please see our website for the points formula and details. Please note that for the Jan. 11 and Feb. 1 races, only the longer distance is points eligible (10k on 1/11 and half marathon on 2/1)!!!
Overall male and female points winners will each take home a brand new set of DION snowshoes following the Punxsutawney Phil 5k on March 7th, courtesy of our title sponsor, DION Snowshoes!!! - February 1, 2020, 8:00 AM: 10k & half marathon*
- February 15, 2020, 6:30 PM: Night race #3 -- Mid-winter Sprint 3k
- March 7, 2020, 6:30 PM: Night race #4 -- Punxsutawney Phil 5k
*Select your distance for 1/11 and 2/1 when you check out. Remember, only the longer options are series points eligible!
The Merck Forest Snowshoe Ultra on March 1 is also part of the DION Nor'easter Snowshoe Series! Registration for the ultra is a la carte only, and is not available as part of series pricing. More info & signup HERE
Pre-registration is only available for all six series races @ Viking Nordic Center and separately for the Merck Ultra. Save up to $65 and sleep-in a little by signing up for the series vs. registering day-of for each race individually!!! Series registration is open until January 10, 2020 @ 11:59 PM.
Series pricing: November 16 through November 30 = $145
December 1 through December 31 = $160
January 1 through January 10 = $180
Registration on a per-race basis will be available day-of ONLY, cash or credit card. Individual race prices:
- Night races: $30
- Jan. 11 5k: $30 | 10k: $35
- Feb. 1 race: 10k = $40 | Half marathon = $55
DION Snowshoe demos
Don't have your own racing snowshoes? Thanks to title sponsor DION Snowshoes, a limited number of running snowshoe demos will be available for just $5 (cash only) at each race! Demos are first come, first served in person ONLY, so get there early!
All of the Nor'easter nighttime races are held on a fully-lit groomed loop at Viking Nordic Center. You don't need a headlamp to see the course!
Night races are a great way to try snowshoe racing for the first time, and they also make the perfect date night! A section of the course is even lit with kerosene lanterns!

***PLEASE NOTE*** Although you're not required to use it, you are required to carry a headlamp or flashlight with you at the night races for safety reasons.

At each race you'll have your choice of swag item (hats, mugs, water bottles, etc.). ALL series registrants who sign up for the whole series from this page will get a Nor'east Trail Runs BOCO hat, a $25 value!
First place male and female finishers in the longest distance at ALL SEVEN SERIES RACES will win an entry to the Dorset Hollow Road Race!!!
All snowshoes must meet USSSA legal size requirements (at least 120 square inches and no smaller than 7" x 20")
