About the American Trail Running Association (ATRA)
The American Trail Running Association (ATRA), was formed in 1996 as a Colorado non-profit to serve the mountain, ultra and trail (MUT) running community. Our mission is to promote the sport, encourage trail conservation, advocate for trail access and promote healthy, outdoor lifestyles. We offer memberships for individuals, running clubs, race directors and your favorite trail running brands.
Individual Members receive our quarterly Trail Times Magazine, get exclusive access to drawings for FREE race entries, receive our monthly e-newsletter and more. Already a member? Give a membership to your favorite trail running or ultra running friend.

Membership with Trail Times and Outside Plus - $45/year
Legacy Membership - For a minimum investment of $1000, legacy members will have a lifetime membership with ATRA. All donations at this level are 100% tax deductible. “ATRA Legacy Members are individuals who want to make their mark and, unlike their ethic of leaving no trace on the trails they run, have a lasting impression through the organization that supports the sport they value so highly,” said ATRA president Adam W. Chase. “Legacy Membership allows trail running enthusiasts to make a substantial, one-time donation to a not-for-profit that stands for and supports their passion.”
