Course Description

For the Caveman, choose from our challenging 5K, 10K, or 20K distances!

The event will take place on the Flying V Trails located about 8 miles north of Newcastle, WY on US HWY 85, across from the Flying V Cambria Inn. Parking will be allowed in our newly expanded parking lot. Overflow parking will be on the south side of the Flying V Cambrian Inn. Look for the signs for the Flying V Inn. To get to the start area, follow the signs past the Flying V Lodge and up the abandoned road to the highway. Cross the highway and walk up the paved road to the trailhead.

The course for each distance will consist of a combination of single-track trails and double-track skid roads and fire access roads. For more on the specific distances and trails copy and paste this link to our website at https://bentsprocketswy.org/cave-man-fun-run/course-overviews.

We will also host the Flying V Trails Day again in 2024 following the Cave Man events. We will be providing lunch and tours of the trails by bike and foot in the afternoon following the Cave Man. Check out our website for more info on our Trail Day event!

Registration

All participants that register by April 14th will receive a unique participant race souvenir. Be sure to register on time, you won't want to miss these!

5K - $30

10K - $45

20K - $60

Prices increase by $20 after April 14th with online registrations ending May 8th. Participants may register at packet pick-up the night before. No race day registrations will be taken

No Refunds: Due to the upfront costs and fees associated with organizing this event, no refunds or rollovers will be given for registration.

Schedule

Packet pickup will be scheduled for Friday, May 10th from 5 to 7 pm, location TBD.

Race Day Packet Pickup
While we encourage everyone to pick up their packet at packet pickup Friday night, packet pickup will also be available on race day prior to the event at the Start/Finish. All participants also need to check in on race day prior to the event.

20K: 7:00 to 7:50 am
10K: 7:30 to 8:20 am
5K: 7:00 to 8:50 am
*All runners will need to sign in upon arrival at the race start, please arrive early!
