Course Description

Yea! We are back on the Tahoe Rim Trail Endurance Runs Course for this year's training runs! This year will be starting and finishing at the Diamond Peak Ski Lodge which is an awesome venue to sit and chill out after the run.

The course will go up the slightly stupid climb up the ski run to the Bull Wheel and Tahoe Rim Trail. From there you will go south on the Rim Trail to Tunnel Creek Rd. Approximately 5 miles, There will be an aid station there. From there you will have the option to go all the way to Marlette Peak Campground where there will an aid station. This at 10 miles from the start. Double back to Tunnel Creek road. You have the option of completing Red House loop (6.7 miles) and come back up to Tunnel Creek road. From Tunnel Creek Road you head north on the Tahoe Rim Trail past the bull wheel to the Incline Creek Trail, you make a sharp left turn downhill. You will run this downhill for 4.5 miles bring you back to the Diamond Peak Lodge. At least 70 ounces fluids is a must as the aid station at Tunnel Creek Road is 9 miles from arriving back at Diamond Peak.

Course marking and aid stations will be provided, but very limited with only direction arrows. There will not be flagging to mark the course. The distance to Marlette Peak and back is 22 miles and if Red House Loop is added it will be closer to 30 miles. If you just went to Tunnel Creek, and Red House loop and back it would around 22 miles.
