Stinson Beach, CA

Stinson Beach, CA 100K

This Event Took Place Sat. May 4, 2002

Covid Caveat

As with many other California races, we are still awaiting approval to submit permit applications for 2021. Miwok 100K registration will open on November 1 (see details below for 2020 entrants and new entrants) but we have enabled the wait-list-registration option so that your card will not be charged. When we get the go-ahead to put on the race, you'll get an email asking you to confirm your entry and at that point, the reg fee will be charged to your card.

2021 Registration Info

Due to the “covid-cancellation” of the 2020 Miwok 100K, we will not use a lottery for the 2021 event. Spots will be filled first-come, first-served after our 2020 entrants have registered. We will have a waitlist once the entrant list is full to improve runners’ chances of getting to run this beautiful trail race – our 25th Miwok.
Registration for the 2020 entrants is November 1 through November 7, 2020.
At 8:00 a..m. PST on November 8th, registration will open for everyone else.

JOIN US FOR OUR EPIC 25th ANNIVERSARY. The Miwok 100K is one of the most beautiful and iconic trail ultramarathons in the world, with spectacular views of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge, Sausalito, Mount Tamalpais, the ancient redwoods and the Point Reyes National Seashore.
The course is hilly (11,800 feet of gain), featuring single-track trails and dirt roads with less than a mile of paved road. The race is very competitive at the front, and a rewarding challenge for all. Start/Finish is in the quaint town of Stinson Beach, nestled against Mount Tam, with several excellent cafés, a small market, lodging (walk to the start!), and more.

Our 2021 runners will receive top quality Miwok logo men’s and women’s rabbit race shirts, a super-cool trucker hat, ultra-specific goodie bag items, and a custom Miwok finisher’s medal. Course marking is excellent, and you'll be supported by some of the best volunteers in the business. We hire professional medical for all aid stations for blister assistance and those occasional skinned knees and such.

The Miwok 100K has focused on sustainability for over a decade, with recycling, food composting, and waste minimization. Runners bring their own cups/hydration system, and leftover food is donated to a local shelter.

We have runners from many states and countries, and many walks of life. We have long supported local organizations that help disadvantaged and hungry children, and donate to a variety of local organizations, including Pinkathon/Breast Cancer Research Foundation, The Edible Schoolyard Project, and, which provides food and support to kids in Oakland and the surrounding area.

The Miwok 100K is a WS Qualifier, and a UTMB Qualifier (4 points).
