2017 Race July 29-30
New race director as of 2016 with a goal to bring good people, amazing terrain, well marked trails, and a relaxed and fun atmosphere all together for a great weekend!
Local time: 5:23 AM
Good old fashioned Colorado mountain trail races run at high elevation! The terrain varies from technical rocky climbs, fast flowing forest track, remote off-trail sections, and as much awesome single track as possible! Wildflowers, wildlife, grassy meadows, numerous lakes and streams, pine and aspen forests with views galore! The average elevation is 10,000', the highest point (and greatest views) for each race is the summit of Crag Crest at 11,200'.
The races take place in Western Colorado (near Grand Junction) on the Grand Mesa which is known as the largest flat-topped mountain in the world.
We have 4 race distances to satisfy all sorts of running needs: 100m, 50m, 55k, 30k!
