Set amid the former master-planned Coyote Springs community approximately sixty miles north of Las Vegas, the Coyote Springs Trail Run is a race to not be missed. Coyote’s trails have been hand-cut by Pardee Homes Vice President Klif Andrews and the “trail hobos,” a group of near-mountain men as rugged as the terrain itself, who make their lives in the backwoods and brush; their appreciation for nature and the thrill of challenging trail has resulted in a trail system original in layout and design.
All courses traverse the gamut of trail terrain, including dirt fire road, paved road, single-track trail, climbs and descents both steep and gradual, scenic switchbacks, rocky roundabouts, deep canyon, and vast expanses of desert landscape. The variety of terrain helps make this course ideal for first-time trail runners, as well as seasoned trail pros.
Ultra distances will consist of loops and short out and backs. Each loop is primarily single-track, with a short distance of out-and-back dirt road at the end of each loop.
