Plain Endurance Runs

14400 Chiwawa Loop Rd

Leavenworth, WA 100 Miler

This Event Took Place Sat. Sep 14, 2013

Cancelled Event

Plain has been been cancelled for 2025. The Pomas fire closure boundaries have included most of our course for many weeks and there is little indication that these boundaries will change in the near future. We apologize for this huge inconvenience and look forward to a better year in 2026.

Description

The Plain races take place on USFS trails and roads in the Cascade mountains in the Lake Wenatchee, Entiat, and Chelan ranger districts. There are approximately 85 miles of trail and 20 miles of forest service roads, all quite remote. Elevation gain/loss is roughly 21,000 feet. This is a self-supported event. There is one re-supply point after the first 100K. Your water sources are creeks and rivers on the course and you will be carrying all your food and necessary gear from the start, or from the resupply point. Train for long, totally self-sufficient segments on a fairly difficult course with great scenery.

This is a non-profit event. All proceeds go to local Search and Rescue and military veteran support groups. For more information visit our web site at www.plain100.com.

Qualification Standard

For the Plain 100 Mile you must have completed a TRAIL 100 mile or the Plain 100K. A run/race equivalent to the Plain 100K, i.e. a very challenging event that requires a significant level of self-support and at least 15 +/- hrs on your feet, will be considered.

There is no qualification required for The Plain 100K, but don't take this event/distance for granted. A challenging 50 miler would be a minimum level of ability.

Refunds

There are no refunds unless the event is cancelled. In this case, some funds will be withheld to cover direct expenses.
