One Loop Option(1st loop)

One Loop option is for runners who aren't quiet up for the 50K but would still like to be part of the experience and enjoy a challenging run. Race time is 7:30. You will cross the spillway so you will get wet and enjoy scenic views incuding the historic Mill Ruins which is the most visited area in the Park.
One loop runners will not cross Sweetwater Creek.

This will be the 12th annual running of SweetH20 50K. New this year is the 1st loop option. As always, let me say, this may *not* be a good first 50K and by all means it's not a hike. In it's 3rd year Blue Ridge Magazine rated it in the top 10 toughest 50K's in the country. Now that you've been warned, proceed with caution. Train hard!
9 time finisher Rob Apple says "SweetH20 has it all, it has an out West feel with a little bit of everything, from hills to water crossings to the technical stuff to very runnable sections". Train hard!
. Come and enjoy a challenging and exciting race at beautiful Sweetwater Creek State Park. This park, located in Lithia Springs, Georgia, offers winding, moderately difficult trails with creek crossings in and around the park, following the lovely rapids of Sweetwater Creek, and venturing past Civil War-era textile mill ruins.Train hard!

The Start/Finish will be at the group shelter this year. Train hard! The course will be open for 10 hours, with all aid stations closing at 4:15 p.m so RESEPCT THE DISTANCE and most importantly, THIS COURSE, train hard! Intermediate cut offs include: Runners who arrive at the creek crossing after 12:30 p.m. will be asked to return to the start/finish area. Train hard! Runners arriving at the School Spur for the second time after 3:30 p.m. will be asked to drop and can be brought back to the start/finish area. Train hard! The 10 hour time limit and cut offs will be enforced, so please train accordingly as this race is not meant to be a hike. Train hard!

Awards will go to Top 3 M/F overall, Masters M/F ( 40+) Senior Masters M/F (60+). No duplication of awards. If you don't train hard, you do not stand a chance for any of these awesome custom awards. NewSole Running mobile store will be on site so we'll choose 2 random bib numbers for $50 shopping spree at the store.

A percentage of proceeds benefit Friends of Sweetwater Creek State Park
