Blood Rock 50 Mile

Blood Rock 50K Trail Race is the final race in the Mountain High Outfitters Southeastern Trail Series. The race will take place at Oak Mountain State Park, starting and ending at the Redbud Pavilion located on Tranquility Road, adjacent to the BMX Track. The race will start at 6:30 AM. (Sunrise on the 19th is 6:24 a.m. and sunset is 4:42 p.m.) We are thrilled to announce the addition of a 50 mile race, the Blood Rock 50, as part of the final race of the 2016 Mountain High Outfitters Southeastern Trail Series. The course will be a single 50 Mile Loop. Almost 14 miles of the 50 will be on very difficult backcountry trails with some of the steepest climbs in the southeast. Don't try this race in road running shoes! At present we plan to have a 15 Hour Cutoff. This is subject to change.

Most Aid stations distances range from 3 to over 7 miles apart. The distance from Aid Station #1 to Aid Station #2, however, is is almost 10 Miles. This will be a VERY long 10 miles so plan on carrying much more water than you would expect to use.

Aid Stations will range between 3 miles and 6 miles with one exception. The distance between AS 1 and AS 2 will be almost 10 miles.
