THE BLOOD ROCK 100 IS BACK

WE ARE BRINGING BACK THE 100, IF:
“IF” WE HAVE 75 OR MORE RUNNERS REGISTER BY OCTOBER 1ST.
“IF” OUR APPLICATION TO USE THE TRAILS IN THE BELCHER TRACT IS APPROVED BY OAK MOUNTAIN STATE PARK.

PRE-REGISTER FOR THE 100
What the means: If you would like to run the 100, pre-register now. No registration fee will be charged at this time. When the number of runners signed up for the 100 reached 75, and we have approval of the updated 50 mile loop, we will move pre-registered runners to registered runners, The Blood Rock 100 will happen!

HOW PRE-REGISTRAITON FOR THE 100 WORKS

The 100 Mile race is set up with the "Pre-Register" option. When runners register for the 100, they will not be charged until the two requirements are met and the Blood Rock 100 becomes OFFICIAL!

The Race

The Blood Rock 100 starts at Noon, Friday, Dec 6th - 44 Hour Cutoff
The Blood Rock 50 Mile starts at 7:00 AM, Saturday, Dec 7th - 22 Hour Cutoff
The Blood Rock 55K starts at 7:00 AM Saturday, Dec 7th - 18 Hour Cutoff
The Blood Rock 25K start at 7:00 AM - Saturday, December 7th - 10 Hour Cutoff.
All Races will start at the Redbud Pavilion located on Tranquility Rd, adjacent to the BMX track.

Race Shirt Cutoff - November 27th

IF YOU WANT A BLOOD ROCK RACE SHIRT YOU "MUST" REGISTER BY SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 27TH.
The shirt order absolutely must go in on the 27th. Please register early to insure getting one of these really cool shirts.

THERE WILL BE NO LATE REGISTRATION

REGISTRATION ON ULTRASIGNUP CLOSES MONDAY, DECEMBER 2ND AT MIDNIGHT. THERE WILL BE NO REGISTRATION BEFORE THE START SATURDAY MORNING.

Lodging and Camping for Blood Rock

There are 10 cabins available for rent in Oak Mountain State Park just 600 yards from the start. There is also a large, totally renovated, campground two miles from the start. Cabins and campsites can be rented through OMSP.

There are 9 hotels located one to two miles from the south gate of Oak Mountain State Park. This is the gate near Interstate-65. The north gate of OMSP does not open until 7:00AM. It's best to stay near I-65. The gate will be open Saturday Morning starting about 5:00 AM. Hotels near the south entrance of OMSP

The Blood Rock 50 Mile - Saturday Start

Blood Rock 50 Mile is a Southeastern Trail Runs race. The race will take place at Oak Mountain State Park, starting and ending at the Cabins on Tranquility Lake. The start will be at 7:00 AM Saturday. The course will be a single 55K Loop, returning to the Cabins Aid Station at mile 34.1, the Start/Finish. 50 milers will then repeat the south loop of the course, heading to Terrace Dr Aid Station, the back to Peavine Aid Station and back to the Cabins at mile 50 for your finish. About 20 miles of the 50 will be on very difficult backcountry trails with some of the steepest climbs in the southeast.

Blood Rock 25K and 55K

The Blood Rock 25 & 50K races are Southeastern Trail Series Points races and take place at Oak Mountain State Park. Both races start and end at Redbud pavilion on Tranquility Rd. across from the BMX Track. Both races will start at 7:00 AM Saturday. The 50K will be one full lap of the North Loop, including sections of the new Belcher Track.

Friday December 6th - Packet Pickup - 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM: Redbud Pavilion, Oak Mountain State Park, on
Tranquility Rd, Adjacent to the BMX Track.
Friday December 6th - Drop Bag drop-off and pick up SPOT Trackers - 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM: Redbud Pavilion, Oak Mountain State Park.
Friday December 6th - Race Briefing - 11:45 AM: Redbud Pavilion, Oak Mountain State Park.
Friday December 6th - Race Start - 12:00 AM: Redbud Pavilion
Sunday December 8th - Blood Rock 100 Mile Ends - 8:00 AM: Redbud Pavilion

Blood Rock 50 Mile, 50K and 25K
Friday, December 6th - Packet Pickup - 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM: Redbud Pavilion, Oak Mountain State Park, Tranquility Rd, adjacent to the BMX track.
Saturday, December 7th - Packet Pickup for 50 Mile, 50K and 25K Runners - 5:00 AM to 6:30 AM: Redbud Pavilion, Oak Mountain State Park.
Saturday, December 7th - 50 Mile Runners - 5:00 AM to 6:30 AM: Redbud Pavilion, Oak Mountain State Park. All 50 milers must pick up SPOT Trackers at this time. 50 Milers may leave dropbags if desired.
Saturday, December 7th - Race Briefing - 6:45 AM: Redbud Pavilion
Saturday, December 7th - 50 Mile, 50K and 25K Race Start - 7:00 AM: Redbud Pavilion
Sunday December 8th - Blood Rock course closes - 8:00 AM: Redbud Pavilion

Refunds and Credits

We offer full refunds available through Ultrasignup up to 30 days before the close of race registration. You may also roll your entry over until the next year or receive a 100% Credit for future Southeastern Trail Runs races. After that date, when you cancel your registration, you will be given the option to rollover your entry until the next year or receive full credit that can be applied to any STR race in the next year.

In the event the race must be cancelled as the result of events beyond our control, (forest fires or park closure are the most likely potential cause of cancellation of our races at OMSP) we will give a full refund up to 30 days prior to the event. After that, your entry will automatically be rolled over to the next year.
