The Cedro Peak Ultra is hosted by Support Trail Adventure Running (STAR) and features three distances, 50K, Full Marathon and a 1/2 Marathon plus new this year, a 10K burro run! For more information on this run, see below. Proceeds are donated to Tijeras Food Bank and the Wildlife West Nature Park. The course is almost entirely single track passing through ponderosa pine, pinon, juniper and oak forests plus the added bonus of great views of the Sandia Mountains and of course, Cedro Peak. The race is an environmentally friendly leave-no-trace event bringing exciting trail running to Albuquerque's doorstep. This trail race has it all from non-technical to rocky sections. This is a good starter race for those new to Ultra running or for seasoned Ultra's as a great training run!

Trail run with a burro! In this race you will run with a burro (no riding allowed) over a gentle trail for 6.2 miles through Ponderosa Pine parkland and oak brush. Burro racing is a growing sport and a way to celebrate their rich New Mexico heritage. If you already have a burro, you can register now! You can also rent a burro, but please make this arrangement before you register. Contact information is below. Various prizes will be awarded! All entrants will get a race related item with the event logo. All finishers get a unique finisher award. There will also be awards for first through third overall male, female in each age group. Registrations after 3/9/2020 will not be guaranteed a race item.
