The TARC Blue Hills Skyline Trail Run is a gnarly, old-school 12 KM race with 550 M elevation. The course is on the Blue Hills Reservation North & South Skyline Trail and Bugbee Path. The terrain is rocky and steep and will demand your attention, balance and agility. Along with staircase climbs and tumbling rock downhills, runners can expect a classic New England path through the woods and scenic views of the Boston skyline.
Course markings and on-course support are minimal - this race is not for the directionally-challenged or faint of heart! Markings will follow skyline blazes with a few signs at critical points.
Hydration pack or handheld bottle are required. There will be water stops with light refreshments at the finish.
Our sophisticated timing system involves each runner getting a popsicle stick with a number as you cross the finish. A time and name is then recorded for that number.
This race is no frills, no bibs, and a TON of fun. You'll be pushed to your max and will love every second (we hope!).
Prizes (baked goods!) for 1st F, 1st M, 1st MF, 1st MM. Reg limited to 100 runners. 7:30 am start.
This race is part of the Grand Tree Trail Race Series. Proceeds benefit Friends of the Blue Hills.
