Greater Alabama Council’s
3rd Annual Scout Strong 20k/10k/5k/1 Mile Trail Running Event
Supporting the Scouting programs of the Greater Alabama Council, promoting physical fitness and outdoor awareness in the youth we serve, their families, and their communities.

Come join us on February 6, 2016 at 7:30 a.m. for the 3rd Annual Scout Strong Running event at the beautiful Camp Sequoyah, located on Hwy 431 in Delta, AL. This Boy Scout summer camp located just outside of Oxford, AL will be the backdrop of four great races sure to meet everyone’s ability level. Running through the camp on dirt, gravel, and sand surfaces, through the campsites, by the lake, and through the trails, this is sure to be a great running experience. Packet Pick up at the Opportunity Center in Anniston, AL on February 5, 2016, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. or race day at Camp Sequoyah from 6:00 a.m. until 7:30 a.m.

Chip timing for all four races.

Unique trophies will be awarded for the top three male and female overall winners in each race.

Chili, cornbread, fruit cobbler, and other foods at the finish area.

Awards will be given in all events in the following breakdowns:
5k/10k/20k-
1st-3rd overall Male
1st-3rd overall Female
1st-3rd male and female in the age divisions 8-under, 9-11, 12-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-up.

1 Mile
1st-3rd overall Male
1st-3rd overall Female
You must be 12-under to qualify for Awards in the 1 Mile Event
Participant medal to all 1 mile finishers

Shirts will be included in registration as will a chip timing bib for those running.

All registrations received by December 31st are guaranteed a shirt. Shirts after that will be on a first come, first serve basis. Race day registration is available but pre-registration is encouraged to help avoid race day confusion with the chip timing inputs.
