Description
The Baylor Canyon Trail Run is a challenging and scenic course in the Organ Mountain Range, outside of Las Cruces NM, taking place off-pavement, on trails and dirt roads. The Baylor Canyon Trial Run offers two distances 12 mile and 6 miles each start and finish at the historic Baylor Pass Trail Head on west side of the Organ Mountains.
The 6 miles trail run takes you up to the peak of the Organ Mountains and back to the trail head. The 12 mile trail run follows the 6 mile course past the saddle and continues east on the trail downhill to Aguirre Springs campground where runners turn around and loop back to finish at the trail head grounds.

Staging
The start and finish lines for all races, as well as check-in and
race-day registration, are on the grounds of the Baylor Canyon
Recreation Area. Participants will follow signs from Highway 70 to
parking and check-in. Start time for the 12 mile trail run is 8 A.M.,
immediately followed by the 6 mile trail run. There will be three water
stations for the 12 mile run and two for the 6 mile approx one every 3
miles.
Shoe Donation
Ensure that your shoes will be well used at the end of this run!
Interested in giving your shoes a new life? Put a pair of flip-flops in
your gear bag for after the run and donate your shoes to the community.
New/used shoes can also be donated when you pick up your goodie bag.
Staff will be picking up and sorting shoes donated. Shoes will benefit
individuals in need of shoes throughout the county.
Directions
From the junction of I-10 and I-25, go north on I-25 6 miles to US-70.
Turn right (east) on US-70. Follow US-70 east for 10.1 miles, exit at
Baylor Canyon Road. Turn right (south) on Baylor Canyon road. Follow
Baylor Canyon road south for about 2 miles to the trailhead on the left.
