Description

The Forest Glen Preserve is a beautiful beech-maple and oak-hickory forested Nature Preserve.  The race will coincide with peak fall foliage.  The race is a fundraiser for the Vermilion County Conservation District Foundation and all registration fees go directly to the Foundation.  All races start and end at the Gannett Education Center. The 10.3 mile loop course wanders along streams and the Vermilion River.  The 10 mile course is one lap, while the 50K race covers three laps. The course is challenging, covering approximately 2,000 feet altitude with each lap; resulting in 6,000 feet over the 3 lap race, making this a very challenging 50K race.  Be sure that this will challenge most trail runners!
