About the event
With the unpredictable weather ahead and the state of emergency declaration issued by the State of Maryland, we have received notification from park management indicating that the 2018 Patapsco Trail Fest and it’s rain date must be canceled.
This cancellation has not been an easy decision. The park and our team have worked very hard to host the event as scheduled. Trail Fest is a collaborative effort across user groups and the cancellation is a disappointment to all of us.
With Hurricane Florence upon us and its impact truly uncertain, we are unable to move ahead the event or with the planned rain date. In spite of the reduced forecast for the race area, there is significant rain coming our way. We are not comfortable attempting to put that much strain on trails after such significant rainfall and the park agrees.
We are grateful for our sponsors and partner organizations and to our diverse community of trail users each committed to the stewardship of Patapsco Valley State Park.
For any concerns, comments, or questions please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to seeing you all out there on the (dry) trails!
