Dia De Los Muertos Night Run gets a huge makeover in 2018. In 2016 & 2017 it was only a 5k race. In 2018 it'll be what always was meant to be!
New name: Dia De Los Muertos Endurance Run (DDLM Endurance Run)
Time Event: 24hr, 12hr, 6hr, 4hr & 2hr.
Pictures above are from our 5k races in 2016 & 2017.
Note about Dia De Los Muertos:
While this event takes place near Halloween, this is not a Halloween event. Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) focuses on celebrating the memories of loved ones that have passed on.
We'll have an Ofrenda (altar) at the start/finish area where runners will be able to do offerings of flowers, fruits, drinks, etc and written messages in memory of their loved ones who have passed on.
The course is made up of two loops. Loop A is approx. 1 mile and Loop B is approx. 1.5 miles. Loops will be measured by measuring wheel and actual distances will be posted later. Runners will complete as many loops as possible within the allotted 2, 4, 6, 12 & 24 hour periods. Runners will run loop A first then loop B then rinse and repeat!
A custom DDLM Endurance Run belt buckle will be presented to 24hr runners who complete 100 miles.
