The final MDT Challenge 7-mile trail race took place on November 12, 2022.
We would like to thank all past participants and volunteers and also a big thank you to UltraSignup for hosting this free event on their web site.
Event Information
The course markings will be the blue trail blazes that mark the Mason-Dixon Trail. Participants need to know the trail blaze symbols for a left turn, right turn and straight. The trail will be cleared and well blazed.
Everyone is welcome, runners, hikers and walkers
Course: An out-and-back on the Mason-Dixon Trail from Glen Cove Marina to Broad Creek Boat Launch.

Aid Station: At the turn around point with water and light snacks. All participants will receive a wristband at this point, to be an official finisher you must have the wristband at the finish line.
Cost: Free, please do not register if you have no intention of participating. If you do register but cannot participate, please unregister to allow other participants.
Event Capacity: 100 participants
Swag: Optional, available for purchase day of event (cash only).
$5 - Neck Gaiter
$15 - Shirt, short sleeve (limited amount)
$20 - Shirt, long sleeve (limited amount)
Awards: None
Random Prizes: There will be several, 1st place male and female will have first pick. The rest of the names will be pulled from a hat.
Bathrooms: On site, heated and air conditioned with running hot and cold water
Parking: On site
Post-Race: Hot apple cider (with optional Fireball), beer and homemade cookies
Pets: In the interest of safety pets/dogs will not be allowed on the MDT course for official participants. This is due to the ruggedness and style of the course (out and back).
