Derecho - Event Rescheduled!
Due to the derecho storm the 6th annual PCTR has been rescheduled to Saturday, November 14th. Please see the event website for specific updates.
*Previous storm update:
Derecho: a line of intense, widespread, and fast-moving windstorms and sometimes thunderstorms that moves across a great distance and is characterized by damaging winds.
The impacts of the storm that hit on August 10th were pretty devastating to the trails at Pleasant Creek State Park.
Through close coordination with the DNR it's been determined that there is no possibility to hold the event as originally scheduled - the consideration for a postponed event is still being discussed but is dependent on many factors (FEMA/funding, contractor availability, weather, etc.).
