About the Run


RACE HEADQUARTERS: Rock Bridge State Park, Billy Gilbert Shelter, GPS address 5575 Missouri 163 or GPS coordinates: 38.880933, -92.333980. Here's a map with a pin on the start: Race Start

START TIME: 7:00 a.m. (50K), 8:00 a.m. (25K) with staggered start depending on number of entries.

COURSE: The course is 100% single track trail with a variety of terrain and creek crossings.The 25K course will be one loop on the Devil’s Ice Box Trails, cross over Hwy 163, and one loop on the Gans Creek Wild Area Trails. The 50K is 2 loops of the 25K course. There is a map on MapMyRun. Please note this is the 2019 course map and there will be a course change in 2020. However, the course will be similar.

TIME LIMIT: The time limit to complete the course is 8 hours.

AID: 2 aid stations (Devil's Icebox Parking Lot and Wagon Wheel Trailhead) in the 25K & 5 aid stations (Devil's Icebox Parking Lot - 2 times, Wagon Wheel Trailhead - 2 times, and end of first loop) in the 50K stocked with a variety of food, water and Gatorade. Approximate distance between aid stations is 4 miles. 50K racers can leave a drop bag at the start to access before their second loop. PLEASE NOTE THIS WILL BE A CUP FREE EVENT. 25K and 50K must carry a water bottle or hydration pack. 25K and 50K runners will receive a nice collapsible cup at packet pickup. These will be for whatever you don't want to put in your handheld or hydration pack.

ENTRY: $40/50K and $40/25K. No race day registration, transfer of entry, or refunds. Race limited to 150 competitors for all races combined. Park management reserves the right to cancel the race due to adverse conditions.

PACKET PICKUP/CHECK-IN: Race Headquarters will be located in the Billy Gilbert Shelter located in the upper parking lot of Rock Bridge State Park. Packet pickup will be held on Friday, October 9 from 3:00-6:00 at Tryathletics, 1605 Chapel Hill Rd, Columbia. Packets will be available at the race site after 6:00 a.m. on race day. All 25K & 50K participants will be required to check in at Race Headquarters on race day.

POST-RACE: 25K & 50K: Lunch available starting at 11 am. Have your bib number with you to receive a meal. Someone will mark your bib to indicate you've eaten once.

Changes

Runners can sign into their UltraSignUp account and change their distance (no refund if price is less) or transfer their bib to another runner until October 8. You can cancel your registration up to 3 days before the race but no refund.

After signing in, click on Account Info, Registration History, select the race, and Edit. From the Registration Edit screen you can change the distance, transfer or cancel (no refunds) your registration.  Please feel free to contact us if questions. If you decide to change your distance after the race starts, you will receive a DNF and not receive a finishing time.
