Barn Blazin’ “Mask’erade Run
Southern Singletrack Trail Series is thrilled to announce our response to the pandemic race – the Barn Blazin’ 3 Miler, 9 Miler and 6 Hour trail run on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at 8AM EST to benefit the Valley Rescue Mission.
With the cancellation of our O-Ma-Hot Trail race scheduled for this same date due to the circumstances out of our control, we are offering a different race to our trail friends to get folks out of the house and back on the trails for some much-needed trail therapy!! This is a loop race on a private farm in east Alabama that we know you will want to join us in running ‘round and ‘round and ‘round the 1-mile loop to run away the ‘Rona! This loop promises a super fun mix of open fields of green and cattle in the background and rolling paths along the wood line. You may see turtles or other farm wildlife as you pass by pastures, crops and the pond along the way back to the finish line. So come on out to The Farm, bring your own tent and chairs (so we all stay 6 feet or more apart) to set up right next to the course, hang out with friends and tailgate the heat and ‘Rona away on a hot Summer’s day! It is gonna be a hot one so we encourage you to hydrate, wear sunscreen and most of all, have fun getting loopy as we maneuver around the fun trail loop on the “front 40” of The Farm.
The course: Three 1 mile loops for 3 Miler, nine 1 mile loops for 9 Miler, and 1 mile loops for 6 HOURS.

No transfers, refunds or deferments allowed.
ABSOLUTELY NO DOGS ALLOWED. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Cost: 3 MILER: $45 / 9 MILER: $55 / 6 HOUR: $85
Pricing goes up to $60/3 Miles and $70/9 miles and $95/6 HR if you register after July 1.
Important Info:
Due to CDC recommendations, there will be NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION. We will leave registration open as late as Thursday night, July 16 but YOU WILL NOT BE GUARANTEED A SHIRT NOR ONE IN YOUR SIZE.
ALL runners for all 3 races will start in staggered heats by bib number – no exceptions! We now have electronic chipped timing and you will be clocked by this system so staggered heats are not an issue.
Barn aid station will have water, Cerasport and all snack items will be individually wrapped (i.e. pretzels, chips, fruit chews, bananas). If you are running the 6 HOUR race, we encourage you to bring any other additional hydration, nourishment, etc. you need to get you through 6 hours of running.
BRING YOUR OWN WATER BOTTLE! We will have cups for the first 2 hours of the morning.The 6 HOUR is a cupless race – we will have someone at the aid station in gloves pouring water into your bottle that you open yourself. We will not be pouring water into cups for you for 6 hours. If you look dehydrated on course, we will pull you. Please don’t be that person and not bring a water bottle!
